Measuring and weighing your parcel correctly is essential to ensure you pay the right price and avoid unexpected charges. Follow these simple steps:
Make sure your parcel is fully packed and sealed before weighing or measuring. This ensures accuracy.
Place your parcel on a flat household scale or digital scale.
Record the weight in kilograms (kg) or grams (g).
For accuracy, we recommend taking a short video showing the parcel on the scale with the weight clearly visible.
Use a ruler or measuring tape to measure length, width, and height in centimetres.
Always measure from the widest points, including bulges or protrusions.
For oddly shaped parcels, measure as though the item fits inside the smallest possible rectangular box.
Write down the weight and dimensions in the format - this will be needed for your delivery quote:
Length x Width x Height (cm) + Weight (kg).
Ensure your details are correct before entering them when booking with Asendia.
You can also use our Volumetric Calculator for an accurate weight of your parcel.
If the courier finds that your parcel is heavier or larger than declared, additional charges may apply.
Keeping a video record of your measurements can help resolve disputes quickly.
