The items listed below (or any item similar in description or content) qualify as Prohibited Items and must not be sent on any Parcel2Go service. 

Any Customer sending such items using the Parcel2Go services may be subject to their order being cancelled without notice. 

Parcel2Go will assume no responsibility or liability for any such Prohibited Items being sent using its services. 

Parcel2Go shall have full discretion to dispose of the Prohibited Items in whichever manner it considers appropriate (including the destruction of the Prohibited Items). The Customer agrees to reimburse Parcel2Go without delay for the costs of removing the Prohibited Items from transportation/delivery, destroying it or returning it to the Customer. 

The Prohibited Items are broadly classified into the following categories: 

  • Items that are banned by national or international legislation, conventions, provisions or regulations in the country of origin of the item, in the country of destination of the item and/or in any third country through which the item will be carried. 

  • Items that are identified as Dangerous Goods and banned by instructions, regulations, agreements and conventions relating to Dangerous Goods, such as the Technical instructions issued by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the Dangerous goods regulations of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code, the European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR) and the Universal Postal Union (UPU) Convention and its regulations. 

  • Items which may inflict personal injury, infect persons or cause damage to property. 

  • Items which are prohibited, such as counterfeiting items or piracy items, illegal narcotics/drugs or psychotropic substances, illegal pornography, falsified and other illegal medical products, fraudulent or deceitful items and/or illegal lotteries. 

A non-exhaustive list of Prohibited Items is set out below.  If an item is not listed below, but falls within the above categories, then it is a Prohibited Item:

Special Provisions: 

  • Amplifiers - maximum Parcel Protection value for damages is £200, up to £1,000 for lost items. 

  • Apple Mac/Macpro - maximum Parcel Protection value for lost items is £1,000. (iMacs are protected for loss only). 

  • Banjo/Guitar/Cello/Violin - maximum Parcel Protection value for damages is £100, up to £1,000 for lost items. Musical instruments must be sent in a hard case.

Any Customer handing over such items to Parcel2Go for transportation and delivery does so entirely at their own risk. Parcel2Go shall never be liable for lost, damaged or delayed No Protection Items.

 Items requiring more information: The following items (or any item similar in description or content) can only be carried if the description is altered by the Customer prior to completing their order. Any Customer sending such items may be subject to their order being cancelled without notice and does so at their own risk potentially negating any parcel protection. 

Please note that Parcel2Go is happy to carry these items provided that a clearer description of the items is provided in the more info section (assumes the item is not in the No Protection Items List or in the Prohibited Items List).
